The Personal Statement and Commitment to Organisational Faithfulness forms Appendix 3 to the Diocesan Governance Policy, which was adopted by the Synod on 23 September 2024.

This statement is required to be signed by members of the governing body, and the chief executive officer, of a Level C or Level D organisation. The Diocesan Governance Policy sets different governance requirements depending on which of the four levels are applicable to an organisation.

  • Level A includes the Standing Committee, Regional Councils, and other unincorporated Diocesan organisations.
  • Level B includes non-Diocesan incorporated organisations that operate within the Diocese and use a ‘Church Name’ in the manner described in the Anglican Church of Australia Act.
  • Level C includes Diocesan organisations that are incorporated organisations. 
  • Level D includes incorporated Diocesan organisations declared by the Synod or Standing Committee to be a Level D organisation due to the complexity of the enterprise and the applicable regulatory regime.
